March 2024

Howdy Y’all!

We had ourselves a rootin' tootin' time watchin' everyone boot scoot and boogie at our Achy Breaky Heart luncheon! We hope y'all strutted your stuff with them fancy dancin' skills at our Wild West Night!

We're mighty thankful for all the Sponsors, community members, units, and volunteers who've pitched in to make Wild West Night an event to remember! It was a fantastic night as we round up our military and civilian community for a grand cause with over 100 generous items donated for our silent and live auction!

Our Grants Committee is scheduled to convene this month to allocate the funds raised by this year's board. We'll be casting our votes on their proposals at the luncheon on April 17th, and we encourage your attendance. We are excited about the opportunity to support remarkable organizations that are making Fort Cavazos and the surrounding counties a better place.

With two more luncheons on the docket and our significant service project with the Fisher House on the horizon, please stay tuned for further updates!

Big shout out to board member Niki Strong for receiving the Volunteer of the Month for January! She hit the ground running with ODYD and has been spending a ton of time inventorying product as well as hosting private and public events. She also saw major success at the 'Love Is in the Air' event earlier in the month and had a great group of volunteers to assist!
