April 2025
Howdy y’all!
We did it! We made it through Wild West night and it was amazing! A huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen – the execution was flawless, the fun was endless, and the event was a big hit! And thank you to all who showed up to support; you all looked fantastic in your boots and hats!
Just because our biggest fundraiser is in the books doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. We’ve still got some exciting events ahead, including our luncheons and the grants ceremony! Next up, mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 9th, for our next luncheon. Tickets are live, so grab yours while you can! As always, Alli Lamb has an awesome event planned for us. We’re doing tacos, trivia, and tequila – and in keeping with the movie trivia theme, we’re encouraging everyone to dress up as a movie character. I love a good theme, so please indulge me and dress up!
I won’t go into all the May details just yet, but rest assured, we’re not done yet – we’ve got plenty more planned for you before PCS season takes over!
As always, don’t forget to check out Emma’s amazing weekly emails to stay up-to-date on all the latest happenings at the Fort Cavazos Spouses Club.
See y’all soon!

Wild West Night
We are thrilled to have hosted the 39th Annual Wild West Night; an unforgettable evening that brought together friends, and community members for a night of fun, music, auctions and casino games! This year’s event, held on March 29, was filled with excitement, delicious food, and western spirit. There was no shortage of cowboy hats, and boots. Guests had big smiles as they enjoyed games, raffles, and the auctions. The energy was electric, the laughter was contagious as everyone embraced the spirit of the Wild West.
A huge thank you to all of our generous sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees who made this event such a success. Your support helps make Wild West Night a cornerstone of our community, and we can’t wait to see you all next year for the 40th anniversary celebration!
Stay tuned for updates on our final totals as we are excited to give out grants to local organizations.

Community Outreach
As we shift our focus from Wild West Night, it’s time for our annual outreach project! This will be our last outreach until we reconvene in the fall, so let’s close out with a (successful) bang!
This year, we have partnered with the Fisher House (https://fisherhouse.org/programs/houses/current-houses/texas-carl-r-darnall-army-medical-center/) on Fort Cavazos. There are several items that this organization needs in order to continue to serve active military and veteran families. We have created a wishlist (linked below) with some of their most requested items. When purchased via the wishlist, items will be shipped directly to our Community Outreach chairperson. Please note that you can absolutely purchase similar/comporable items anywhere you choose and bring those items to the April luncheon to receive an extra raffle ticket! If you purchase directly from the wishlist and have it sent to the Community Outreach chair, simply confirm this at the door of the April luncheon to receive your ticket(s) for each item purchased.
