Hello All!
I don’t know about you, but this Chicago girl is definitely ready for some cooler fall weather! There's something special about cozy sweaters, bonfires on a crisp night, and enjoying the beautiful autumn colors.
I hope you all had a fantastic time at our Oktoberfest Luncheon! A huge thank you for joining in on the fun, especially with the wiener toss and those unforgettable chicken dance moves! We also want to express our gratitude to each and every one of you who contributed to our outreach to the Fort Cavazos Food Pantry—your donations make a huge difference! While our next official Luncheon won’t be until February due to our Holiday Bazaar Fundraiser and the busy holiday season, we do have some other exciting events lined up.
The next event is our 43rd Annual Holiday Bazaar! Our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to make this a wonderful experience. Funds raised at the Holiday Bazaar are reinvested into our community through our grants program. We encourage you to bring your neighbors, friends, and family—everyone is invited! It’s a great chance to start your holiday shopping with over 100 vendors.
We have a quick turnaround before our next event! This year, we’re excited to introduce our Jingle and Mingle Holiday Social on Tuesday, December 3rd at Sam Adams Brewhouse from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the holidays before the busy season kicks in. Enjoy delicious food from Keys Kitchen and Catering, live music, and some fun games! We’re thrilled to announce that this event is open to our members and their spouses. You can purchase tickets on our website under the member events tab.
As you probably already know, our Flamingo Flocking fundraiser is up and running, and our team is anxiously awaiting your orders! This year, we’re flocking with a purpose and offering Happy Birthday signs, Welcome Home signs, and It’s a Girl/Boy signs to accompany your flock. You can also opt for a fun prank if you’re feeling mischievous! Get ready to spread some joy with our flamingos! You can schedule a flock on our website!
Last, but certainly not least, I want to give a huge welcome home to our 3CR folks! Many of our members’ families have been reunited after a long 9-month rotation, and we couldn’t be more excited for all of you! Your sacrifices and dedication are truly appreciated. Welcome back!

Community Outreach
Thank you for all of your generous donations to the Fort Cavazos Food Pantry! The team at Main Post Chapel was blown away by the amount of non-perishables donated on behalf of FCSC. Your contributions will make a huge impact on those in need, especially with the holidays right around the corner.
Our outreach for November is Wreaths for Vets. We have partnered with the Wreaths for Vets team and have been assigned our own section of the Veterans Cemetery for their wreath laying event. We will also provide assistance at the
Columbarium. This time, we ask that you donate your time:
November 23 @ 10:00am - until complete: WREATH PREP AT THE KILLEEN SPECIAL EVENTS CENTER
November 30 - WREATH LAYING
8:30am: Unload wreaths
10:00am: Ceremony
10:15am: Wreaths laid by Gold Star survivors and immediate family members
10:20am: Wreaths laid by volunteers
After all wreaths are laid, we will assist in cemetery clean-up

Looking to wish a friend or family member a happy birthday, welcome home a soldier, or pull a fun prank?
The Fort Cavazos Spouses Club is thrilled to introduce Flamingo Flocking!
You can surprise your friends or family on or off post with:
• Standard Flock: 10 full-sized lawn ornaments for $25-$35
• Mega Flock: 50 full-sized flamingos for $75
• Mini Flock: 50 miniature flamingos for $30

Holiday Bazaar 2024
Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a bang at the Fort Cavazos Spouses' Club 43rd Annual Holiday Bazaar Fundraiser, sponsored by H-E-B Operation Appreciation, on November 9th and 10th at the Killeen Conference & Civic Center! Shop over 100 local and regional vendors and food trucks, snap a pic with Santa, sip on some delicious hot cocoa, and enter to win over 50 raffles containing amazing prizes! There's no better way to get into the holiday spirit! And the best part? Admission is only $10 per day, and kids 16 and under can shop for free! Plus, all ticket sales from this fundraiser will be donated to Fort Cavazos and our Central Texas community through our Community Outreach Program's grant disbursements. Don't miss out on the fun - see you there!

Tickets are available at the door, and advance purchase tickets are good for Saturday OR Sunday! So if you purchase on Saturday and something comes up, you're still good for Sunday!
Colder weather is approaching and not everyone has access to warm clothing. Please help us make a difference by donating new or unused winter hats, gloves, socks, scarves, and underwear.
For each item you donate, you will receive 5 extra raffle tickets. Let's spread warmth and kindness this winter season!
Wild West Night
The planning for our annual Wild West Night is underway. Don't have FOMO on this one!! WWN is a fun and engaging event that brings our military and community together for one final push to raise funds for our community grants. Join us March 29, 2025, 6:30-11pm at the Lone Star Conference Center. Last year this event raised $45,000 towards our annual $75,000 in grants!

Auction Chair - With a team, solicit donations for our silent and live auction.
